The Candelabra tree is also known as a Tree

A large tree, with a massively branched
crown, that grows up to 10 metres.
Flowers in April and fruits in August.
The fruit is a three lobed capsule. Common in the Limpopo province.
The tree has a toxic latex, which causes severe blistering of the
skin. Blindness can be caused by latex in the eyes.
Animals coming into contact with the
latex have been known to receive severe burns on the lips and eyes.
The latex is used as a fish poison.
Paralysed Fish rise to the surface within a short period of the
latex being put in a pool.
There are some medicinal uses, but these are probably very toxic
and can cause death.
