Little Bee-eater (Merops pusillus)
The little bee-eater is a small bird distributed
from sub Saharan Africa to the northern parts of South Africa.
A common resident, the little bee-eater lives
in woodland, bushveld and open savanna. Catches flying insects whilst
on the wing, often swooping from a branch.
Feeds on flying insects.
Breeds from September to November.
